One woman who’s not afraid to experiment with her hair, is Florence Pugh. The actress has openly admitted to campaigning to cut her own strands off for her role as Allison in A Good Person. She even had to talk her ex-boyfriend, Zach Braff, into it as he was producing the film and needed to think through things like consistency and logistics 🙄.
But, Ms Flo clearly won the argument because she was sporting much shorter strands earlier this year – cycling through an experimental mix of ponytail fringe updos, steggy knots and fan buns – before she buzzed the whole lot off back in May (again for another role, We Live In Time, a rom-com she’s filming in London with Spider-Man actor, Andrew Garfield).
Since then, Florence seems to have gotten the itch for yet another hair switch-up as she stepped out with a soft-serve strawberry sorbet buzzcut, while heading front row at Valentino’s haute couture autumn/winter collection in Paris this week.
Posting to his Instagram, her hair stylist, Peter Lux, showed a close-up of the chop which looks a little longer and fluffier than the close shave she debuted at the Met Gala. While her roots remained her natural mousy colour, the tips were iced with a pretty pastel pink that sits somewhere between an ice cream shade, a candyfloss and a lipgloss colour, which makes sense…
The rest of her outfit matched beautifully, with her makeup artist, Alex Babsky, syncing in with a pretty pink lip – specifically Valentino’s Liquirosso liquid lipstick in the shade 115R, which he also used on Florence for the Met Gala (perhaps it was the inspiration behind her hair colour).
And her stylist, Rebecca Corbin Murray, stuck with the pastel memo, dressing Flo in yet another nipple-baring see-through dress. This time, in lavender.
This is just the latest in a long line of playing with fashion and beauty. Previously, Florence has served up burgundy dip-dyed ends, a shaggy mixie cut, a witchy black pixie and a cropped bob.
So, if you want to channel the same energy as Florence Pugh, get experimenting, starting with pink hair.
