Scarlett Johansson is forever giving hair goals. It was only recently that the Avengers Assemble actor was seen sporting a new directional cut, which she debuted on the red carpet at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Grazing the tops of her shoulder, her blunt-cut blonde lob, which was styled with subtle kinks for an effortless “undone” look, was a refreshing departure from the over-the-top looks we’re used to seeing at the film festival.
Cut to the New York premiere for her new film Asteroid City last night and Johansson has taken her hair in another direction once again. Dialling up the glamour, the actor, who actually plays a brunette in Wes Anderson’s hotly anticipated film, channelled her inner blonde bombshell with Old Hollywood-inspired curls. Her hair stylist Jimmy Paul swept her locks to one side for a more romantic feel.
Instead of opting for a classic red lip and feline flick, Johansson kept the look contemporary and fresh for summer with shimmery lids, glowing skin and a soft pink pout. This beauty look perfectly accompanies her white halter-neck dress from Carolina Herrera’s resort 2024 collection, which has a nostalgic feel thanks to the rosette detail on the bodice. Combined with her Marilyn Monroe-esque curls, the overall look is giving Seven Year Itch vibes.
