Harry Styles jumped into the beauty arena in 2021 with the launch of his beauty and lifestyle brand Pleasing, but he’s about to take his first steps into scent with the launch of not one, but three new fragrances later this year. We’d expect nothing less.
And, if you’re wondering what a Harry Styles-themed fragrance smells like, you could be in luck. For fans seeking an early sniff, the brand has started enclosing a sample of each scent in all orders placed on Pleasing.com, to give its “loyal and loving community” an exclusive “first look”.
As for the top line? Here’s what we know so far. The scents – named ‘Closeness’, ‘Rivulets’ and ‘Bright, Hot’ – are designed to “embark on a deliberate exploration of warmth, and specifically, the warmth of a second-skin musk”. So we know they’ll be tapping into the popular skin scents category along with headliners like Glossier You, Phlur’s Missing Person and Escentric Molecules 01. But we’re interested to see how Harry puts his spin on it.
We have high hopes, since Harry called on some of the beauty world’s top noses for help. He chose fragrance house, Robertet, who specialise in natural raw materials, and appointed French perfumer, Jérôme Epinette, who’s created scent smash-hits like Byredo’s Gypsy Water. Epinette has impressive range, too, since he’s worked with everyone from luxury brands like Atelier Cologne and Vilhelm, to Ariana Grande on Thank U, Next and he even collaborated on Sol de Janeiro’s iconic Bum Bum fragrance.
If Harry Styles’ current Pleasing line-up is anything to go by, we predict the trio will be expressive, non-conformist and a little bold, despite it being a bare, skin scent. But, we guess we’ll have to wait and see…
