The Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion Month runways — a.k.a. Etro, Christian Cowan, Rodarte, and Drome — have shown us that peach makeup will be everywhere this year. Apparently, Rihanna and her longtime makeup artist, Priscilla Ono, took some cues from the season’s shows. The singer wore a full-on peachy beat to Off-White’s runway show in Paris on February 28.
Her peachy look featured coral-stained blush, a wash of orange-tinted eye shadow, and a pinky-nude shade on her lips. Of course, Ono used all Fenty Beauty products to achieve the look. Per Ono’s Instagram post, she dusted Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Petal Poppin on Riri’s cheeks. She also blended shadows from a Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eye Shadow Palette onto her lids. She painted Fenty Icon Semi-Matte Lipstick in Motha Luva, which is described by the brand as a “light pink nude,” on the lips and topped it off with the shimmery Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y.
It turns out that RiRi’s peachy makeup can be flattering on all skin tones. Makeup artist Tommy Napoli previously told Allure that the color gives the face a brightening effect. “[It] can be a brightener for translucent undereyes or hyperpigmentation that appears blue or grey on the color wheel,” he said. “This means one can neutralize versus covering with base or foundation or concealer in a thick way.” In a nutshell: Peach works wonders for covering dark spots.

Peach’s appeal also comes from the complexion-boosting colors that it’s made from. “It’s [a mix of] pink, orange, red, and yellow,” makeup artist Joseph Carillo previously told Allure. “These are all colors we look for when trying to find the perfect foundation shade.”
Riri, thanks for reminding us that we all need to hop on the peach makeup trend, stat.
