Having said that, the best cardio machine is the one that you are likely to use the most often. Getting and staying in shape is easier when you’re participating in something you actively enjoy, rather than something you’re forcing yourself to do. If plugging away on the rowing machine is an activity you can see yourself keeping consistent with, then it’s certainly the better option of the two.
Are rowing machines really worth it?

Should I row every day?

Shorter, more intense sessions are the way to go if you want to improve your cardiovascular health. One thing to note though, is that you can’t (unfortunately) focus on a specific area of your body when it comes to reducing fat. Just stick to your routine, and let nature take its course.
Is a water rowing machine better?
Water rowing machines tend to be coveted for their premium materials (most commonly wood), and come with a wallet-busting price tag to boot. As with air-resistance rowers, they offer a more realistic experience, with paddles providing resistance as they spin through water. They’re quiet too, bar the hypnotic sound of sloshing water. If you want to make a statement while shooting for more realism, water rowers are the way to go.
